Puppies........

If you are interested in a 'Hollieseast' puppy, the next litter will be from 'Kiri's' older daughter - Hollieseast Romantischen (Elke). A repeat mating with Sh.Ch. Mabanika Sandown (Alfie), has taken place and puppies from this union are due on September 11th. Alfie, apart from winning the 'Open Dog' class at Cruft's 2010 and then DOG CC - has also won 3 further CC's bringing his Challenge Certificate total to 11 so far! He has also won the 'Top Dog' trophy, awarded by the Weimaraner Association .

Our puppies are very much sought after, therefore, are worth the wait!

The 'S' litter page (pups born Sept 2008) can be accessed here. This gives you the opportunity to see a typical 'Hollieseast' litter, from birth to age 7 weeks.

Here at 'Hollieseast' we are very proud of the quality puppies we produce. As a Kennel Club accredited breeder (with all 3 accolades - including having bred more than 6 dogs gaining their KC stud book numbers ) I provide ongoing help, information and life-long support on every Hollieseast-bred puppy.

Breeding Ethics
As members of the 3 U.K. Breed Clubs, we adhere to a breeding Code of Ethics. Our bitches whelp no more than 3 litters in their lifetime and will not be bred from before the age of 2 or after the age of 7. We only ever have one breeding bitch at a time and our bitches stay with us to enjoy their retirement, when their breeding lives are over. They are never re-homed at the end, as is the case with some kennels - we abhor this practice. "What we breed to keep, we keep for life". Our dogs are a lifetime commitment, to be loved and valued as much in their old age, as when they are young and full of mischief!

Puppy rearing and socialization

Each litter is carefully planned and the puppies are reared entirely in the house (please see the 'S' litter pups page). Before they leave us to go to their new homes, the pups have already received some important socialisation and experienced the 'every day' things that they will encounter in their new home environment. This includes the hustle & bustle of our family and grandchildren, the general noise of kitchen appliances, also puppy visitors, whom we welcome to see the litter after making a reservation. When they're old enough, as well as mixing with our adult dogs, the puppies go outside every day to play in the large, secure dog compound we have for this purpose. The puppies are also taken on short car rides as we have found this practice to be most beneficial to young pups. In addition to playing with their litter mates, all these aspects are important in their early development, providing a sound foundation for their future.

April 27th 2007 was the date on which tail docking was banned, under the newly revised Animal Welfare Act by law in England. Therefore, all our puppies will have their full natural tail. However, dew claws are removed to the breed standard and requirement, for UK bred Weimaraners.

Making an enquiry

Every puppy that we breed is very special to us and so we are very thorough in our task of finding him or her the right owners. Part of this process is testing the puppies with the (FDTCB) Aptitude Test to help us place the right puppy with the right family. The other part is to meet all the prospective owners to learn about their lives, circumstances and experience with dogs - most important, before any decisions are made. If you would like to enquire about our next planned litter, please visit the contact page for details of how to get in touch. To send an email, click here.

International puppy enquiries
We also receive puppy enquiries from overseas and there are Hollieseast-bred dogs living in Europe and the Far East. Please note however, that the criteria remains the same as any of our other puppy enquiries. We prefer to meet the prospective owners at our home, to meet us and our dogs, before collecting their puppy. The future welfare of our puppies, is of the utmost importance to us.
